Greater Lansing Food Bank (GLFB)

GLFB Distribution Center is located at 5600 Food Court, Bath, MI and is open Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Change to Bath Township Mobile Food Distribution

The last day of the Bath Community Center Mobile Food Distribution is Thursday, December 12, 2024. Beginning January 2025, Bath Township residents should visit the monthly food distribution at the Greater Lansing Food Bank Distribution Center (5600 Food Court, Bath MI 48808) held on the last Wednesday of the month from 4 – 6 p.m. Please call the Greater Lansing Food Bank at (517) 853-7800 with any questions or concerns.

Clinton County Open Food Distribution Project

The Clinton County Open Food Distribution Project distributes food to families in need on the second Thursday of each month at the Bath Community Center, 5959 Park Lake Road in Bath, Michigan 48808.

Registration for distribution begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Bath Community Center.

  • Distribution begins around 8 a.m. and continues for approximately one hour OR until all food has been distributed.
  • Participants are asked to bring their own boxes, bags, containers, wheeled carts or wagons.

Call Clinton Transit at (989) 224-8127 or (800) 800-5938 for transportation assistance. Requests for transport must be made by 2 p.m. the day before an event.

The distribution serves as many as 150 families each month, so financial contributions to benefit the project are welcome.

Department of Health and Human Services Programs

Contact the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services for information on food assistance programs, such as Women, Infants and Children (WIC) and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). A statewide map is available where you can click on your county for local contact information.

Meals on Wheels (MOW)

Offers several meal program options. Each of these options offers healthy, well balanced, flavorful meals that provide 1/3 of the daily nutritional needs of older adults. Although payment is not required, donations for meals are welcome.

Senior Center

The Center is located behind the Bath Charter Township Offices, 14480 Webster Road in Bath, and is open Monday through Friday.

The Bath Township Senior Center serves lunch Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 12:00 p.m. The cost is $4.00 per meal for Bath Township residents and non-residents; $5.00 for those under age 55. Beverage is included in this cost.

Low-Income Meal Assistance

Bath residents (age 55+) can provide documentation (Medicaid or Food Assistance Card) to the Senior Center Cashier and be qualified to receive a discreet meal punch card for use at the Center.

St. Jude Catholic Church of DeWitt

The pantry is located at the Community Center doors at 801 N. Bridge Street, DeWitt.

The food pantry is open to local (DeWitt, north Lansing, 48906, and Bath) residents. You are welcome to visit once every 4 weeks. Due to supply and demand you may receive 1 to 3 bags of non-perishable food items, and when the pantry has them (now provide milk, bread, eggs and butter). Please provide proof of residency with either a valid drivers license and or a copy of a utility bill with correct name and address.

The pantry is open Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Friday 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Closed on national holidays.

Summer Feeding Program @ Bath Middle School Cafeteria

During the summer break, Monday through Friday from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m at Bath Middle School Cafeteria. All children 18 years and younger eat at no charge. Closed July 3, 4, 5. Menu located at http://bit.ly/2ZkFgX1

Summer Feeding Program @ Countryside Manor

During the summer months, Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m at Countryside Manor, 14379 Webster Road. All children 18 years and younger, and disabled to age 22 eat at no charge. Others eat for $3.00 Closed July 4. Program runs through Friday, August 16.

Tiny Food Pantry

A Tiny Food Pantry is located on the east side of Webster Road near the entrance to Countryside Manor apartments, across from Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Community members are invited to contribute items directly to the pantry, or take items as needed. This pantry is continuously used and is in need of frequent filling.

United Way 2-1-1 Emergency Resource Lookup

The easiest way to locate your nearest Emergency Food Resources is to dial 2-1-1 on a telephone. This will connect you to a United Way 2-1-1 call center location. The operator will ask you a few basic questions (family size, location, etc.) and provide you with the nearest food distribution location.

Individuals and families in Clinton, Eaton, Ingham, and Shiawassee will connect to Central Michigan 2-1-1 by dialing 2-1-1 (or use their toll free phone number: 866-561-2500).
