The Bath Charter Township Fire Department has openings for volunteer firefighters. These are paid “on-call” positions available to local residents who are able to quickly respond to our service area of Bath Charter Township.
All training and equipment provided.

Bath Charter Township is hiring for the part-time position of Planning Intern. An entry level land use planning position with focus on basic land use, demographic data collection, and analysis. Position requires solid research, writing, analytical, and communication skills with some knowledge of land use planning principles. The position offers the opportunity to gain experience in the day-to-day operations of a Township Planning Department, land use administration including site plan review, special use permits, and rezonings. Bath Charter Township has begun the application process for the hiring of a full-time Police Chief. Under the direction of the Township Superintendent, with a contract managed by the Board of Trustees, the Police Chief is responsible for directing the Bath Township Police Department with a staff of 1 lieutenant, 2 sergeants, 1 detective, 9 full-time officers, 1 part-time officer, 1 reserve officer, and 2 office administrators. The Bath Township Police Department operates with a community policing philosophy, and prioritizes training and professional growth of its officers. The ideal candidate for this position would share these ideals, while also having the drive and determination to continue advancing the department into modern policing.
Bath Township is home to approximately 14,000 residents. Situated in the southeastern corner of Clinton County, the township has doubled in population since the 2010 Census, mainly due to young professionals from the greater Lansing area choosing to settle with their families in a more rural setting. The township includes several areas of larger developments along East Saginaw Highway and Chandler Road.
Salary of $105,000 (minimum, dependent on qualifications) and a comprehensive and competitive benefits package.
